Run by parents
for star students

Every event. Every page. Every year.

The TMA PTO is the volunteer engine behind sales flyers, field day, class collages, and the yearbook every family takes home. None of it runs without hands.

The people behind the badge

The PTO is a small standing group of parents, split across committees, who keep the everyday texture of school life running: the Friday folder flyer, the table at Back to School Night, the photo someone remembered to take at Dino Dash.

Most of us started with one task. A flyer to hand out, a table to sit at for an hour. Nobody joins as an expert. One parent teaching the next.

We report to the principal and coordinate closely with room parents and staff, but the work itself, the collages, the rosters, the sales tracking, is entirely parent-run.

Lesson of the year

"Design the event page a week after the event, not the day before the deadline."

— A lesson that took a year to learn

The work, month by month

Across the school year, the PTO runs on a rhythm: sell, collect, build, print. Each committee owns a piece of it.

August – April

Sales & Awareness

Flyers, newsletter placement, EBLASTs, and a table at every kinder night and back-to-school night. If a family hasn't heard about yearbook sales, that's on us to fix.

October – February

Rosters & Collages

Every class, every teacher, every grade's field trips and special activities, turned into pages. Photos come from photo day, room parents, and volunteer photographers at events.

November

Cover Contest

Student submissions, judged with the principal, four winners announced at Friday Flag. Winners get a free yearbook and a lifetime of infamy.

Ongoing

Event Coverage

Jog-A-Thon, Halloween, FUDGE Night, the Gala, and every field trip, photographed and turned into collage pages while the memory is still fresh.

May

Final Production

Final edits, custom covers, and the handoff to the printing company, timed so books are sorted and delivered before the last week of school.

Every Meeting

PTO Liaison Work

Room parent meetings, PTO meetings, and staying in the loop with the principal and school office, so every committee is working from the same calendar.

Open roles, real work

A parent stepping back always leaves a gap. Every role below is real work that stalls without someone in it, not a placeholder.
