WHY JOIN THE TMA PTO?
Every family is welcome and encouraged to become part of the TMA PTO. Joining the PTO does NOT obligate you to volunteer or participate in any activities. Your PTO membership allows you to demonstrate your family's support for our teachers, staff and the elite educational standards you've come to expect from TMA. As a PTO member you are also welcome to help shape the future of our school by voting on important fiscal issues and serving on our Executive Board.
WHAT IS THE TMA STAR MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN?
A direct giving campaign designed, based on feedback from TMA families, to maximize your resources of time and money. Unlike other fundraisers, 100% of all contributions to TMA Star Membership goes directly to supporting your children. In addition, all donations are 100% tax deductible. Tustin Memorial Academy PTO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Tax ID # 33-0814602.
WHY DO WE NEED THE TMA STAR MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN? ISN’T THIS SUPPOSED TO BE A “FREE” PUBLIC SCHOOL EDUCATION?
Public education covers the basic needs such as classrooms, teacher salaries, office staff, limited technology, a basic set of library books, and limited office supplies. Unfortunately, there is no additional funding for any of the programs and support that we have come to appreciate and expect at TMA. Therefore we rely heavily on donations from TMA families in order to maintain TMA's high caliber GATE and Fundamental programs, unmatched individual iPad program, innovative Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Media curriculum, award-winning organic and nature center offering hands on science and data analysis. None of this would be possible with our current state budget. As always, all donations to the PTO are voluntary, and every student benefits from our programs and events.
MAY I DONATE ANY AMOUNT?
We understand and value that our families are economically diverse. We treasure gifts in varying amounts. We ask you to strongly consider giving the most that you can at a level that is comfortable for your family. The important thing is that 100% of our families contribute as much as they can. Since 100% of our students benefit from these programs, it makes sense that 100% of our families should help pay for them. We also welcome corporate "Matching Gifts" or grants, and additional donations from family and friends. We as a community are building a future for our children and our school.

WILL I GET A RECEIPT?
If you pay online here, you will automatically be emailed a receipt. If you have already turned in your membership form to the office, and have waited two weeks, please email us at for a receipt.
